How to install wordpress manually?

Most web hosts now offer automatic install of WordPress (ex. Fantastico, Mojo, etc.). But if you wish to install WordPress yourself, here's a simple tutorial to follow in less than 5 minutes.

Step 1. Go to WordPress.org and download Wordpress latest version.
Step 2. Extract the zip file.
Step 3. Open the folder, and upload all contents to the root directory of your domain. ex. /public_html/yourdomain.com
Step 4.  Follow your hosting instructions how to create database.  Here's the steps I followed in Bluehost.

             a. Go to Cpanel >> MySQL Database.
             b. Create a database name.
             c. Create a database users.
             d. Add user to the database, and click all privileges for accessing and modifying it.
             e. Write all the values in the notepad for future use.
                      
Step 5. Go to your browser, and run the url.  Create configuration file. 

Step 6:  Be sure you have your database credentials ready - database name, username, and password. Hit "Let's go button."

Step 7: Enter your database details. Leave database host and table prefix as they are. Click submit.

Step 8: Run the install.

Step 9: Enter your admin login and password. Congratulations! Your WordPress has been successfully installed.
